Tentative Unit Outline
Book Summary: Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler is a collector of fine art, facts, figures, and secrets. She sells a mysterious sculpture to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. She narrates the action of the story through a letter she is writing to her lawyer - Saxonberg. From a firsthand account, she learns about the adventures of Claudia and Jamie Kincaid, running away from home, hiding away in the museum, and doing research on Angel, the sculpture that is rumored to be the work of Michelangelo. Mrs. Frankweiler needs her lawyer to change her last will and testament to include a new file: the story of Claudia and Jamie. Read to see how this brother-sister team learns about working together, tracking their expenditures, and making do with things that are uncomfortable!
